About Sandillal de Cañas
Sandillal is a small village 2 km north of Cañas with a church. It is known for its homemade donuts production. Cañas is the sixth county in the province of Guanacaste and covers an area of 682.20 km². Its capital is the homonymous city of Cañas. This county was inhabited by Corobicíes indigenous people, which were led by the chief Corobicí. These Aborigines occupied the area between Tenorio and Lajas rivers.
